What do you get when you book the Uffizi on GetYourGuide?
A GetYourGuide Uffizi ticket is the museum's own named, timed ticket resold by an independent operator with extras. The extra money mostly buys free cancellation; here is how to read a listing before you pay.
A Uffizi “ticket” on GetYourGuide is the museum’s own named, timed entry ticket, resold by an independent operator with something added: an audio app, a host at a meeting point, a guide, and on many listings the right to cancel up to 24 hours before. That cancellation right is most of what the extra money buys. Nobody gets through security faster. If your dates are fixed and you only need entry, buy the €29 ticket at tickets.uffizi.it. Book on GetYourGuide when you want free cancellation, a guide, reserve now and pay later, or a time slot the museum has already sold.

uffiziskiptheline.com is an independent guide, not the museum’s website. If you book through our GetYourGuide links we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We also link to the official ticket shop, which pays us nothing, and we say when it is the better buy. For the channel question on its own (which website is the museum’s, which sellers are authorized, how to spot a lookalike) see our guide to the official Uffizi website vs resellers. This page covers what happens once you open a GetYourGuide listing.
What’s in a GetYourGuide Uffizi booking?
Botticelli’s Venus looks the same whichever site sold you the ticket. Your wallet and your morning can differ.
A Uffizi booking on GetYourGuide (GYG) has three layers:
| Layer | What it is | Who provides it |
|---|---|---|
| 1. The ticket | The same named, timed entry ticket the museum sells | The Uffizi, through its ticketing concessionaire CoopCulture |
| 2. The extras | An audio-guide app, headphones, a host at a meeting point, or a full guide | The independent operator |
| 3. The flexibility | Free cancellation, reserve now and pay later, customer service, extra availability | The operator and GetYourGuide |
One operator publishes its price breakdown. The Uffizi Timed Entry Ticket & Audio Guide ($53, 4.0 from 270 reviews) lists the official €29 ticket, a line for costs and taxes paid to booking platforms, and €6 for the audio guide: €44.40 in all, about half as much again as the official advance ticket. That is a fair picture of where the extra money goes on most ticket-plus-audio listings.
The extra money does not buy a different, faster “skip-the-line” ticket. Operators resell the same timed ticket you could buy from the museum, and everyone goes through the same security check. Several listings warn of 15 to 30 minutes at security at busy times, and that applies to the official ticket too.
Is GetYourGuide legit for Uffizi tickets?
Yes, as a platform. GetYourGuide is a Berlin-based company with published consumer terms, refund obligations written into its contracts with suppliers, and reviews only from people who booked. Three things help to know before you pay:
- Your contract is with the operator, not GetYourGuide. GYG’s terms describe it as acting “as a commercial agent” for suppliers. It takes your payment and handles customer service; the operator delivers the ticket. Each listing names its “Activity provider” near the bottom of the page.
- Quality depends on the operator. The big Uffizi listings average roughly 4.2 to 4.7 from thousands of reviews. Some small ticket-only listings rate far lower, with recent reviews saying nobody turned up at the meeting point.
- GetYourGuide has been fined in Italy, over the Colosseum, not the Uffizi. In April 2025 Italy’s competition authority fined the Colosseum’s ticketing operator and several resellers, GetYourGuide among them, almost €20 million in total, in a case about bots bulk-buying Colosseum tickets. We found no similar case involving the Uffizi. The official-site guide has the details.
On Trustpilot in October 2026, GetYourGuide had a TrustScore of 3.9 from about 56,700 reviews: 68% five-star and 19% one-star. That split is typical of big booking platforms, where problems with individual operators pull the average down.
Official ticket vs GetYourGuide: which should you buy?
| Official ticket (tickets.uffizi.it) | GetYourGuide | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | €29 booked ahead, €25 on the day | Official ticket plus extras and fees, from about $31 |
| Cancellation | Non-refundable | Often free up to 24 hours before; some listings are non-refundable |
| Reserve now, pay later | No | On selected listings |
| Afternoon ticket (entry from 4 p.m.) | Yes, €16 on uffizi.it | Not usually; listings sell the full-price ticket |
| EU 18–25 reduced ticket (€2) | Yes | Rarely |
| Extras | None; rent the official audio guide at the entrance | Audio app, host or guide |
| Customer service | Call center 800 615 615, daily 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. | App support in many languages, around the clock by GYG’s own account |
| When official slots are sold out | Ticket office on the day, with a queue | Operators may still hold slots |
Book official if…
- your dates are fixed and you only need entry
- you want the cheaper afternoon ticket or a reduced or free ticket
- you are happy with no refunds
Book on GetYourGuide if…
- your plans might change (weather, trains, strikes, children)
- you want a guide or an audio app in the same booking
- you would like to reserve now and pay later
- official slots have sold out and you do not want to queue on the day
Fixed dates? Book direct at tickets.uffizi.it. Want the option to cancel? The Uffizi Gallery Reserved Entry Ticket & Audioguide costs $49, has 4.4 from 2,168 reviews and free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
How does the ticket reach you?
On GetYourGuide, a smooth morning or a stressful one usually depends on how the ticket is delivered. Check the listing’s “Meeting point” section before you book.
| Delivery type | What happens on the day | Risk |
|---|---|---|
| Direct ticket, no voucher swap | The official ticket arrives by email or in the app. You go straight to the reserved-ticket entrance, then security. | Lowest |
| Voucher swap with a host | You meet a host at a landmark, often near a statue on Piazzale degli Uffizi, swap your voucher for the ticket, then queue for security | Medium: depends on the host being there |
| Office pick-up | You walk to an office, often 45 minutes before your entry time, to collect tickets | Highest: recent reviews report offices closed when visitors arrived |
Voucher swaps can work well. One verified reviewer in September 2026 called the swap “seamless” and said it “took less than 5 minutes”. Pin the meeting point on a map and arrive early.
How to read a GetYourGuide Uffizi listing in 60 seconds
- Includes: does it state the official ticket’s face value? Does it say audio guide, host or guide? Listings that show the face value are easier to trust.
- Activity provider (bottom of the page): is it an operator with thousands of reviews across many products?
- Meeting point: “go directly to the entrance” beats “meet our host”, which beats “collect at our office”. Pin it on a map.
- Important information: look for warnings about named tickets and ID, and about security queues. Honest listings mention both.
- Cancellation line: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund” is common. A non-refundable reseller ticket costs more than the official one and gives you the same entry, so take one only if you want its audio app.
- Reviews: sort by most recent and read the last ten. Search them for “meeting point”, “no one”, “refund” and “name”.
- Price check: compare the total with the official €29. Any big gap should be paying for something you want.
Which GetYourGuide Uffizi listings are best?
GetYourGuide’s Uffizi page showed 4.5 stars from more than 60,000 reviews across all its products in October 2026, with more than 1,000 bookings a week. Within that:
| You want… | Look for | Signals of a good listing | Our pick on GetYourGuide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ticket only | A timed ticket with direct delivery | States the official face value; free cancellation; hundreds or thousands of recent reviews | Uffizi Gallery ALL Collections Ticket & Audio App, $31, 4.2 from 7,362 reviews, non-refundable |
| Ticket + audio guide | Ticket and app bundles | A clear breakdown of what the app costs; a meeting point on Piazzale degli Uffizi | Uffizi Gallery Timed Entry Ticket + App Audioguide, $38, 4.5 from 1,402 reviews, non-refundable; or the $49 Crown Tours ticket above with free cancellation |
| A guide | Small-group guided tours | Fifteen people or fewer, headsets, a licensed guide, 4.6 or higher from thousands of reviews | Uffizi Gallery: Renaissance Masterpieces Guided Tour, $84, 4.6 from 6,123 reviews |
| Uffizi + Accademia | Guided combos | Both entries included; check the order and the time in each museum | Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery Guided Tour, $163, 4.8 from 2,234 reviews |
| Uffizi + Vasari Corridor | A ticket or tour with Corridor access | A named, timed Corridor slot; check whether the guide continues inside | Uffizi Gallery & Vasari Corridor Reserved Entry Ticket, $93, 4.7 from only 11 reviews, so treat the rating as early |
For a cheaper small-group tour, Crown Tours runs a Uffizi Guided Tour with Priority Entrance for about $68, rated 4.7 from 1,892 reviews. If you want two museums without a guide, the Uffizi & Accademia Timed Combo Tickets & Audio App cost $88 (4.3 from 1,666 reviews) and are non-refundable.
Listings to steer clear of
- Listings rated under about 4.0 with fewer than about 50 reviews. In autumn 2026 several Uffizi ticket listings sat at 1.7 to 3.5 stars from a dozen or two reviews, with complaints about hosts who never came.
- Office pick-up tickets.
- Non-refundable reseller tickets that add nothing you want.
- Any listing whose recent reviews mention no-show hosts or tickets sold for days the museum was closed.
Choosing between a guide and a ticket is a separate decision, covered in is a Uffizi guided tour worth it? and Uffizi and Accademia in one day.
What about names on the ticket?
Since 13 October 2025 every Uffizi ticket carries the visitor’s name, and the museum refuses entry, with no refund, if it does not match your ID. This applies to GetYourGuide bookings too.
- Enter every name exactly as it appears on each passport or ID card, children included. Under-18s are free but still need named tickets.
- Check the confirmation as soon as it arrives. If anything is wrong, message the operator through the GetYourGuide app straight away. We found no listing that promises a name can be changed after booking.
- Bring original ID for everyone.
What happens if you cancel, or the operator does?
| Situation | What GetYourGuide’s terms say |
|---|---|
| You cancel more than 24 hours before | Full refund, unless the listing says otherwise |
| You cancel within 24 hours, or do not show up | No refund, unless the listing says otherwise |
| The operator cancels | You choose a new date or a full refund. If you do not choose within two days, you are refunded in full automatically |
| The operator does not turn up, or cancels without good reason | GetYourGuide gives a full refund |
| Refund format | You may be offered a GetYourGuide gift card instead of money back to your card. Gift cards expire, so pick the refund method that suits you |
Reserve now, pay later: on selected listings you book with a card and pay nearer the date. It helps if your plans are not fixed.
Price matching: GetYourGuide’s terms include a best-price promise. If you find the same activity cheaper elsewhere online, you can ask for the difference back.
What happens on Uffizi strike days?
Italian museum and transport strikes happen several times a year, and on a national strike day the Uffizi can open for only part of the day. In October 2026 two national strikes cut its hours to the afternoon. What that means for a GetYourGuide booking:
- If the operator cancels because of a strike, you choose a new date or a full refund.
- If your slot still falls inside the shortened hours (say a 3 p.m. ticket on a day the museum opens at 1.30 p.m.), there may be no automatic cancellation.
- If you hold a slot outside the strike-day hours, contact GetYourGuide straight away instead of turning up.
- Check the notices on uffizi.it 48 to 72 hours before your visit. Strikes are usually announced at least a week ahead, so with 24-hour free cancellation you can still cancel or move once one is announced. Rail strikes are listed on Italy’s transport ministry strike calendar.
Hours and closures are on our page on Uffizi opening hours and free days.
How does GetYourGuide compare with Viator and Tiqets for the Uffizi?
All three resell the same ticket. What matters is each listing’s cancellation terms and delivery method, not the platform’s brand.
| Platform | Typical cancellation on Uffizi listings | Typical delivery |
|---|---|---|
| GetYourGuide | Often free up to 24 hours before; some non-refundable | Direct, voucher swap or office |
| Viator | Ranges from 24 hours free, to several days’ notice, to non-refundable | Email or WhatsApp, a host, or a rep at the meeting point |
| Tiqets | Varies; some combos cannot be rescheduled | Email or WhatsApp |
How to get the best value on GetYourGuide
- Know the official price first: €29 booked ahead. Anything above it pays for an extra.
- Choose direct delivery over a voucher swap, and either over office pick-up.
- Check the cancellation cut-off, and skip non-refundable tickets unless you want what they bundle.
- Use reserve now, pay later if your plans might change.
- Read the ten most recent reviews, not just the average.
- Pin the meeting point and save the operator’s contact number. Arrive 15 to 20 minutes early.
- Enter names exactly as on each passport or ID, children included.
- Allow time for security whatever ticket you hold.
- Check uffizi.it for strike notices 48 to 72 hours before your visit.

If you are booking Florence on GetYourGuide anyway, Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia is the booking most visitors pair with the Uffizi. The Timed Entry to Michelangelo’s David + Audio App ($32, 4.5 from 21,923 reviews) is the most-reviewed David ticket on the platform, and our Accademia tickets guide explains the museum’s own booking rules. GetYourGuide’s rankings are set by its own algorithm and partly by commercial factors, so check the current ratings before you book.
Frequently asked questions
Is GetYourGuide legit for Uffizi tickets?
Yes. GetYourGuide is a large European booking platform that resells genuine Uffizi tickets through independent operators. Quality varies by operator, so check the reviews, the delivery method and the cancellation terms.
Are GetYourGuide Uffizi tickets the same as official tickets?
Yes. The ticket itself is the museum’s named, timed entry ticket. GetYourGuide listings add extras such as an audio app, a host, a guide or free cancellation.
Do GetYourGuide tickets skip the line at the Uffizi?
They skip the ticket-buying queue, as any pre-booked ticket does. Nobody skips the security check.
Why are GetYourGuide Uffizi tickets more expensive?
You pay for the official ticket plus the operator’s and the platform’s costs and any extras, such as an audio guide or free cancellation.
Can I cancel a GetYourGuide Uffizi ticket?
Often yes, with a full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours before. Some listings are non-refundable, so check the cancellation line before booking.
Will I get my money back or a gift card?
GetYourGuide may offer a gift card as an alternative refund. Choose the refund method you prefer.
What happens if I misspell a name on my GetYourGuide Uffizi ticket?
The Uffizi refuses entry, with no refund, if the name does not match your ID. Message the operator through GetYourGuide immediately. Changes are not guaranteed.
Where do I collect my GetYourGuide Uffizi ticket?
It depends on the listing. Some deliver the ticket directly, some use a voucher swap with a host, and a few use office pick-up. Check the “Meeting point” section before booking.
What happens to my GetYourGuide booking if the Uffizi is on strike?
If the operator cancels, you can choose a new date or a full refund. If your slot falls outside the strike-day hours, contact GetYourGuide straight away.
Can I get the cheaper Uffizi afternoon ticket on GetYourGuide?
Usually not. Reseller listings typically sell the full-price ticket. The afternoon ticket, for entry from 4 p.m., is sold by the museum.
Do children need a ticket on GetYourGuide?
Yes. Under-18s enter the Uffizi free but still need a named ticket.
Is GetYourGuide cheaper than Viator or Tiqets for the Uffizi?
Prices vary by listing more than by platform. Compare the total, the cancellation terms and the delivery method for the specific product.
