Florence: Uffizi & Accademia Small Group Walking Tour

About This Experience
This is the long version of a two-museum day: about four hours on foot with a licensed guide and a group of 10 to 15 people, run by Florence and Global Small Group Tours. It starts at the Accademia, where the guide covers Michelangelo's David, moves outside to Piazza del Duomo for the cathedral and Brunelleschi's dome, walks on through Piazza della Signoria, and finishes with a guided visit inside the Uffizi. Radios and headsets are handed out so the commentary carries in crowded rooms. The visit ends inside the Uffizi, so you can stay on by yourself afterwards.
Both timed tickets are included. There is no official Uffizi plus Accademia ticket, so this is two separate reservations bundled by the operator and timed to the walk. At the Uffizi everyone passes the metal detector, and when the gallery is full staff hold new arrivals even with a timed slot; one reviewer who booked the Accademia part waited 20 to 25 minutes there in late September despite the reservation. Four hours is a long time on your feet with no scheduled stop: one review complains that the only break was ten minutes at the Accademia. Eat beforehand and carry a small water bottle (up to 50 cl is allowed in both museums).
It suits visitors who want the city walked and explained between the two museums, and who are happy with a four-hour block. If you want both museums with less walking, the Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery Guided Tour does them in three hours and goes straight from one to the other. If you only want David, the Accademia Gallery David Guided Tour and Timed Entry is the shorter, cheaper option.
Watch the options when you book. The same listing sells a David Tour (Accademia only) and a David Tour and Hidden Highlights walk that never enters the Uffizi; the option described here is the Uffizi and Accademia English Guided Tour, with a Florence Highlights: Uffizi First variant that reverses the order. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start. Names must match your passports, because both museums check ID against the ticket.

It was really good to hear the history behind all the wonderful masterpieces we explored. The beauty of the sculptures and art are breathtaking.

We had a nice little group of three persons and Valentina showed us all the important paintings in the Uffizies Galeria and of course the Statue of David, created by Michelangelo. She told us a lot of stories about the paintings and their creators and they were fascinating. There is quite a lot to see in the Galeria and after the tour we had time to explore the Galeria by ourselves. Can only recommend the tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Sylvia was extremely knowledgeable, an animated guide and we leaned a lot. It was an excellent way for us to see a lot in a short space of time. Highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the Uffizi and Accademia small group walking tour cost?
The Uffizi and Accademia English Guided Tour option was $155 per adult when we checked in October 2026 for the next available date. The lower from-price on the listing belongs to the Accademia-only David options, which do not enter the Uffizi, so check the option name before you pay.
In what order do we visit, and is there a break?
Accademia first, then a walk past the Duomo and through Piazza della Signoria, then the Uffizi. The operator does not schedule a meal or rest stop, and one reviewer found the only pause was ten minutes at the Accademia, so eat and use the restroom before you meet the guide.
Do we skip the lines?
You skip the ticket queues at both museums because both entries are reserved. You still pass security at each, and when either gallery is full staff hold arrivals; one reviewer waited 20 to 25 minutes at the Accademia in late September even with the reservation.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund, and you can reserve now and pay later. Inside 24 hours there is no refund. Tickets carry your names and times, so arriving late can mean missing a timed entry.
Is the four-hour version worth it over a shorter combo?
If you want the squares and the cathedral exterior explained as well as the two museums, yes; the walk is what you are paying the extra hour for. If you mainly want the art, the three-hour Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery Guided Tour is less time on your feet.
