Florence: Uffizi & Accademia Timed Combo Tickets & Audio App

About This Experience

This is a self-guided version of the two-museum day: a reserved timed slot at the Uffizi and another at the Accademia on the same date, with an audio app for each museum on your own phone, sold by ACCORD Italy Smart Tours. You pick one of four time pairings when you book, Uffizi first or Accademia first. Each slot has its own meeting point where an English-speaking staff member hands over the ticket; you arrive 15 minutes before, go through security, and visit at your own pace. The app link and the meeting points come on your voucher.

There is no official Uffizi and Accademia ticket, so this is two separate reservations packaged together, with an app and a selection of Tuscan tastings added. At the Uffizi there is no time limit once you are inside, but it is a single entry: backpacks go to the free cloakroom, water up to 50 cl is allowed, and the route begins with 126 steps up the Grand Ducal Staircase (lifts are available). The Accademia is about 1.1 km away, a 15-minute walk, has no cloakroom and admits only bags up to 40 x 30 x 18 cm. Both museums are closed on Mondays. Install the apps before you arrive; some travelers say the app is hard to follow without a signal inside.

It suits visitors who want both museums reserved for one day and prefer to wander on their own instead of keeping up with a group; the gap between the two slots is yours for lunch or the walk between them. If you want someone explaining the rooms, the Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery Guided Tour covers both in three hours with a licensed guide. If you only need the Uffizi, the Uffizi Gallery Reserved Entry Ticket and Audioguide is the simpler buy.

Two things to check before paying. The booking is non-refundable, so fix your date first. And the listing sells an Accademia-only option as well; the one that covers both museums is named Uffizi plus Accademia timed tickets with Audio Guide App. Names are checked against ID at both doors.

  • The cheaper option on the listing is the Accademia ticket only, with no Uffizi entry; choose the Uffizi plus Accademia option for both.
  • Arrive at each meeting point 15 minutes before the slot; the points are on your voucher.
  • Tickets are nominal: full names at booking, ID checked at both doors, no transfers.
  • Everyone passes security at both museums; the operator puts the Uffizi security wait at about 10 to 15 minutes at busy times, and staff may hold entry when the gallery is full.
  • Install the apps before you travel, ideally on Wi-Fi; some travelers report the app is hard to use inside without a signal.
  • Both museums are closed on Mondays, 1 January and 25 December.

Meeting Point

Varies by the time pairing booked; each museum has its own meeting point, given on your voucher. For the Uffizi slot expect to meet operator staff around the Piazzale degli Uffizi; the Accademia is at Via Ricasoli 58/60.

Nothing really. It was just so busy that it was difficult to spend the time needed to really enjoy the art

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do the Uffizi and Accademia combo tickets cost?

The Uffizi plus Accademia timed tickets with Audio Guide App option was $88 per adult when we checked in October 2026 for the next available date, which was in early November. The $41 option on the same listing is the Accademia ticket alone and does not include the Uffizi.

How are the two museums sequenced?

You choose one of four pairings at booking: Uffizi 9.30 a.m. then Accademia 2.30 p.m., Uffizi 11 a.m. then Accademia 4.30 p.m., Accademia 9 a.m. then Uffizi 11 a.m., or Accademia noon then Uffizi 3 p.m. The two museums are about a 15-minute walk apart.

Do the tickets really skip the line?

They skip the ticket-buying queues at both museums, because each entry is reserved for a set time and the host hands you the ticket. You still pass security at each door, and when a gallery is at capacity staff hold new arrivals for a while, timed ticket or not.

Can I cancel or change the date?

No. The booking is non-refundable and tickets are issued in your names for fixed slots, so they cannot be moved or passed to someone else. Book only once your date is certain, and avoid Mondays, when both museums are closed.

Is this worth it compared with booking two official tickets?

You pay more than the two official advance tickets together, and in return you get both reservations in one booking, a host at each door and an audio app. If you are comfortable booking on two different museum websites and do not want commentary, the official tickets cost less.
