Florence: Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery Guided Tour

About This Experience
This is a three-hour guided tour that takes in both of Florence's big Renaissance museums in one go, run by Inside Out Italy. You enter the Uffizi on a timed ticket and spend the first part of the tour on the second-floor highlights: Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo and Michelangelo, with Caravaggio on the first floor if time allows. Then the group walks about 1.1 km, around 15 minutes, to the Accademia on Via Ricasoli for a second timed entry, where the guide covers Michelangelo's David and the unfinished Prisoners. Radio headsets are handed out so you can hear the commentary in a busy room. The group is capped at 15.
Both tickets are included, which matters because there is no official combined Uffizi and Accademia ticket; this is the operator bundling two reservations. At the Uffizi everyone passes the metal detector, timed ticket or not, and backpacks go to the free cloakroom; the Accademia has no cloakroom and only lets in bags up to 40 x 30 x 18 cm, so pack light. Expect a brisk pace: three hours across two museums and a walk between them leaves time for the main works, not the side rooms, and some reviewers say they would have liked longer in each.
It suits a first visit when you have one day for art and want both museums done with context, without organizing two separate bookings. If you would rather spend the full three hours in the Uffizi alone, the Renaissance Masterpieces Guided Tour is the usual pick on this site; if you want both museums at your own pace, the Uffizi and Accademia Timed Combo Tickets and Audio App bundle the two reservations without a guide.
The listing's fine print says tickets are non-refundable, but its cancellation policy is clear: cancel up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund. Full names and dates of birth are needed for every participant at booking, and ID is checked at both doors. The meeting point depends on the language option you book and is on your voucher, which you exchange for the tickets on the day.

What Travelers Say
Rated 4.8/5 by 2,208 verified GetYourGuide travelers.
Anna was very knowledgeable and engaging. There was a lot of physical and historical ground to cover between the two galleries, but Anna kept the pace easy and the information focused and contained.

Marta was an excellent guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. She was a great story teller who gave the right amount of background information to help us understand the art we were looking at and her excellent English and sense of humour, plus predicting exactly what we would want to know, demonstrated her experience. Highly recommend. Thank you, Marta!

The petite dark haired guide for the Uffizi was extremely knowledgeable about art, period history, the Medicis and the Uffizi and told us so many interesting things. Her hand over to another guide for the Academie took us by surprise. The Academi tour was very good also. If I had to do it over, I would have selected one museum at a time and continued viewing the museum afterwards. The two tours and walking from one to the other was a lot of time onones feet.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the Uffizi and Accademia guided tour cost?
The Guided Tour in English option, covering both museums, was $163 per adult when we checked in October 2026 for the next available date. That covers the guide, the Uffizi and Accademia timed tickets, reservation fees and headsets. There is nothing to pay at either door.
Which museum comes first, and how do we get between them?
The tour begins at the Uffizi and ends at the Accademia. Between the two the group walks about 1.1 km through the center, roughly 15 minutes at an easy pace, with the guide. There is no transfer vehicle, so wear comfortable shoes.
Do we skip the lines at both museums?
You skip the ticket queues at both, because both entries are reserved for a set time. You still go through security at each door, and at the Uffizi staff may hold the line briefly when the building is at capacity. Reviewers describe entry at the Accademia in particular as quick.
Can I cancel, and what if I am late?
Cancel up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund. Inside 24 hours there is no refund, and because tickets are issued in your name for a fixed slot, arriving late risks missing the Uffizi entry. Allow extra time to find the meeting point.
Is a guided combo worth it over two separate tickets?
If you want both museums in a single morning or afternoon with someone to steer you to the main works, yes; the 4.8 rating from more than 2,200 reviews is mostly about the guides. If you would rather linger, two separate tickets or a Uffizi-only tour give you more time.
