About This Experience

This is a private tour, so the guide is yours for the whole two and a half hours and the pace is set by your party. You meet at the Neptune Fountain in Piazza della Signoria, a minute from the Uffizi courtyard, and spend about two hours in the gallery. The listing names Botticelli's Birth of Venus, Michelangelo's Doni Tondo, Leonardo's Annunciation and Titian's Venus of Urbino, so the route covers both the second floor and the first-floor Venetian rooms. The guide then brings you to the corridor entrance on the first floor for your timed slot.

The corridor walk takes about 45 minutes and is one way, from the Uffizi over Ponte Vecchio to the Boboli Gardens, in a museum-escorted group of up to 25 that may include other visitors. Guiding inside is not allowed, so your guide's explanation of the 1565 passage, built by Vasari for Cosimo I in five months, happens before you go in. The corridor itself is bare: 73 windows over the river and the rooftops, and since 2025 more than fifty Roman busts along the bridge section. You exit by the Buontalenti Grotto and are escorted to the Palazzo Pitti courtyard; the gardens and the Pitti museums are not part of the ticket.

This suits a couple or small family who want the corridor plus a proper guided Uffizi visit without sharing the guide. If a small group is fine, the Uffizi Gallery with optional Vasari Corridor tour covers both in a group of ten, and if you want a private Uffizi tour without the corridor the Uffizi Gallery Private Tour is the plainer option.

Reserved entry skips the ticket queue only; everyone passes the metal detector, and one reviewer with reserved tickets still reported a long wait on a busy day. Backpacks and large bags are banned in the corridor and, since you cannot return to the Uffizi afterward, anything left in the cloakroom means a walk back across Ponte Vecchio. On cancellation, the listing's policy allows a full refund up to 24 hours before, while the operator's description says the named corridor tickets are non-refundable; take 24 hours as the deadline.

What Travelers Say

Rated 4.7/5 by 41 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

Giuseppe la nostra guida è stato fantastico! Uomo incredibilmente colto e preparato, con quel pizzico di ironia e simpatia che ha fatto della nostra esperienza il valore aggiunto. Grazie Giuseppe! Ti aspettiamo in Franciacorta

A wonderful experience, and the guide was outstanding – very knowledgeable and friendly. During the walk along the corridor, we were overcome by a moment of genuine emotion.

The tour was excellent. We were extremely impressed with our guide, Jadranka. She was very knowledgeable about the Uffizi, the artworks, the evolution of art, the artists, the history of the Florence, the Medici Family, the Vasari Corridor, the Pitti Palace, etc. There was no topic for which she was not prepared to discuss. We have done several tours in Florence and this by far was the best. The only downside was that there was a long wait to enter the museum despite having reserved tickets. This was not her fault. It was a costly tour but worth it given that it was private. She knew exactly where and how to position ourselves within the crowded museum. Thumbs up and five stars for Jadranka!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the private Vasari Corridor and Uffizi tour cost?

It was $309 per person for two adults when we checked in October 2026 for the next available date. That covers your own guide for about two hours in the Uffizi, reserved entry and the corridor slot; the rate is per person, so check the total for your party size.

Is the Vasari Corridor part of the private tour, or shared?

You enter the corridor at a set time in a museum-escorted group of up to 25, which can include other visitors, and guides may not give explanations inside. Your private guide covers the history beforehand and walks with you; the gallery part is where the private guiding happens.

What does the corridor look like today?

A restored, mostly bare passage with 73 windows, about 760 meters long, that crosses above Ponte Vecchio and ends at the Boboli Gardens. Since 2025 more than fifty Roman busts line the bridge section. The famous self-portraits left in 2016 and now hang inside the Uffizi on the first floor.

Does it skip the line?

The reservation skips the ticket queue. Everyone still goes through the metal detector, and one reviewer with reserved tickets reported a long wait on a busy day. Arrive on time and allow for security before the two hours in the gallery begin.

Can I cancel?

GetYourGuide's cancellation line for this listing allows a full refund up to 24 hours before the start. The operator's description says the named corridor tickets are non-refundable, so do not expect anything back inside that window, and check names carefully when booking because they cannot be transferred.
